BW/EA is a company and they have a product that people want but don’t need. While it’s in their best interest to not screw people over or turn them off, it’s also their IP and they can do with it as they please. Nobody has a right to Mass Effect 3, and nobody is owed X amount of content for retail price.

On the flipside, I understand why people are upset. Not everyone can afford the base game, let alone $10-$15 on top of that for content that they believe could have been included in the base campaign for standard retail price (never mind the principle). I also understand why people would protest through boycotts and strongly worded letters posts on the BSN. There seems to be some indication that BW listens, at the very least, and if this is truly a case of partitioning base game content and charging for it, perhaps it could have an impact on future DLC plans or, at the very least, Day One DLC.
